What happened to Blake Nelsen?
Blake Nelsen is an 18 year-old male that is missing and we are asking for any information that might help us understand what might have happened or where Blake might be now. He left his house in Camas Washington sometime between 11:40 pm on Wednesday Oct 30, 2024, and 6:30 am on Thursday Oct 31st, 2024.
Blake’s blue 2009 Toyota Camry he drives was found abandoned on the right-hand shoulder of the southbound I-205 Glenn Jackson Bridge Thursday Oct 31st, 2024, in the afternoon. Because of the dark and where the cameras are placed, no camera footage is available of the area where the car was parked before sunrise. The car was running fine and had nearly a full tank of gas.
He left all of his electronic devices (phone, laptop, Chromebook) at home. He didn’t take anything with him that would allow him to be tracked. Blake’s family thinks he might have been wearing a blue t-shirt, black pants, and a black full zip hoodie (no logos or designs). He might have taken a blue and gray camo backpack with him. He took his wallet, but left it in the car, with his driver license, student IDs, debit and credit cards still inside. We recovered it when we found the car.
He did not leave a note or any other written or electronic communication to let us know what he was thinking or planning. He had recently made online purchases that were still in the process of being shipped and delivered; he set up appointments; he behaved, ate, talked and joked normally.
Blake’s family has reached out to his school, work, friends and robotics team. They have messaged people in his social media accounts.
Because of where the car was found, Multnomah County is leading the investigation with the missing person case number: 24-279181, but there is also a case with Camas Police as well with the missing person case number: 24-1325.
You can contact Camas or Multnomah Police departments to report information.
